The “Golden Hearts Club” concept itself is lovely. In a world that often feels exhausting and cynical, there was something comforting about Katie’s belief that kindness matters, even in small ways. Not grand gestures. Not dramatic heroics. Just everyday humanity: holding open a door, sharing a buy-one-get-one coupon, offering someone working outside a cold bottle of water on a hot day. That thread felt warm, hopeful, and deeply needed.

About the book, May Flowers at the Three Coins Inn fter a successful seasonal opening in April, friends Emma and Annarita are eager to welcome a new set of guests to their Umbrian inn during the full bloom of May. Upstate New Yorker Lisa needs an escape from betrayal and the prying eyes of her smalltown […]

If you enjoy romance that asks bigger questions—about time, identity, and what it means to choose a life—this is a satisfying and emotionally layered read that lingers well beyond the final page.

Hannah Heronstone appears to have everything—a devoted husband, a beloved child, and a thriving business built on ancient herbal knowledge.

Steele clearly knows how to weave together complex story lines, and the dialogue throughout the book felt rich and convincing. He also demonstrates a willingness to tackle difficult subject matter without shying away from it, which I respect.
mmm nutmeg is totally essential to good egg nog too! :-) I’m a night person too. And when I don’t have specific things to do during the day its very easy for me to get all turned around.

If not, well….
I agree the scent of Noxzema is an instant memory trigger. I keep a tub around just for that purpose. Other favourites in your list that I would include in mine…nutmeg, novels, nesting, nifty, Northern Lights (have seen them – breath-taking) and yes napkins!
Now, where is the BD post? I will be back to check. Don’t make me leave multiple comments asking for it. I will! (wink)
In case I forget I want to wish you the very best on your Birthday! I almost forgot that you were a fellow Leo. Mine just past (August 14) I am now 38. It feels odd. 40 is just in my rear view mirror…YIKES! Anyway have a great one! I am glad that we have reconnected.
I totally agree with you on #7. Time for me to hit the sack… damn it!
Great list! Thanks for re-introducing me to Ogden Nash; I love his funny stuff!
My TT is about BED.
I could do with some cozy nesting right now. Alas, it’s not to be today.
Nesting, Night, Notebooks, and Novels – all wonderful items.
My TT is about mu Summer travels. And, if you like history, drop back occasionally during the week and answer my questions. You could win a prize. Prizes given away monthly until the end of the year (and some include downloads of my books).
Nesting, novels, noxema, napkins… I’m there with you. Noodling, too. I could spend my days doing that and at the end of the day… I’d have a novel.
Just the way my brain works.
Happy TT!
I forgot to wish you a happy birthday, too!
And, yes, you can guess the answers to the questions. They are part of my contest. The first one who answers the daily questions correctly, goes into a monthly drawing for a prize. So, please – yes, answer!!
Happy Birthday!
Noodling ewwww
NJ Yum – they are the Garden State:)
My husband and I don’t really celebrate birthdays, having found—to paraphrase Dorothy Parker– that when you’ve collected enough of them, the novelty wears off.
…but I love you for having pink hair at 37. Last year, when coloring my hair (and I am well over 37) I asked the stylist to make it “bright red” meaning, of course, one of the bright reds that hair naturally can be. She took me literally and dyed it “crayon red.” I was on my way to a wedding in Key West and couldn’t get the dye out—a strange experience; total strangers would stare at me incredulously and many of the wedding attendees (past students of mine) expressed astonishment. One told me it was “subversive,” which I liked….but in the end I didn’t dare keep it that color at my stage of life.
My husband was unenthusiastic. “You look like a pillar box,” he said. (those are the red English post boxes…)
WHO wouldn’t think to put napkins out???
I’m buying Noxema on my way home ;-)
I’m a night person, too. And Noxzema is a complete memory trigger. I haven’t used it in years, but if I smell it, it takes me back to my youth. (Which wasn’t really all that long ago.) Happy TT!
I can’t say I’ve ever though of New Jersey being a place where yummy produce is from, so your list has taught me something new!
Another great thing that starts with N… me!
Happy Belated TT :)
Hi MissMeliss! Happy Birthday. You are about 10 years younger than me – yay! (For you, not me.) I hope you’re having a fab day! Michele sent me.
OK, I have a mini-musical posted on my blog. I think it’s funny. My son wrote it and sings on it and my daughter does too. I’d love you to take a listen and I’d love lots of others to listen too! (But that’s OK if that’s too much.)
Have a wonderful Day!!!!!!
