But since this book, this story, is a memoir, I won’t talk more about the events, but rather the way author Babette Fraser Hale has chosen to present them, which she has done beautifully.
Overall, Invitation to Italy is a satisfying summer read, with great characters and a fabulous setting. Goes well with: grilled calamari and prosecco.
I don’t think I have – although there is a lot to look back on. It is unlikely because I am a slow burner and even with MTL it was three years after I first met him that I fell hook line and sinker. I must ponder. Meanwhile Michele says good morning.
Once, he walked in and I lost my breath. I just stared and had an entire encounter in my head. I think I was about 19 at the time. Going back a few years….lol Never did have a ‘real’ encounter though. Glad I never did because that would have taken all the mystery out of it.
