At only 193 pages, Shadow of the Witch is a fast read, but a meaty one, and the perfect companion on a rainy weekend.
Overall, this is a deeply satisfying novel with excellent characters and rich storytelling.
From the first page to the last, this book is a tender, honest, period piece that shows the real meaning of “chosen family” and the strength behind such creations.
I’ll be giving it another go, though last year I never received any playlist myself.
To be hoped they get it a bit more organised this year :)
