I’ve often found that the New Adult / Young Adult genre includes some of the most thought-provoking work in contemporary fiction, and Lori Ann Stephens’s latest novel, a dystopian thriller set in a near-future (or alternate reality – the distinction is unclear), frighteningly plausible version of Texas. I am soooo jealous! But it’s kinda cool outside today so it’d not be as much fun here.
We’re having cool weather here, it was actually snow flurring around 5 tonight. I’m jealous, though not of the sunburn I’ve had enough of those in my life to hate & fear them!
Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier.
I find it difficult to reconcile that the same benevolent sun that so beautifully saturates these rich colors can do so much damage to you.
I hope the pain subsides quickly. You’ve brought back memories from my years as a lifeguard. Aloe was my best friend then, too.
Feel better, my friend.
